D2L / Account Creator
What is D2L?
Desire2Learn (D2L) is the name of the platform for the WIDA Consortium's online test administration training course for the ACCESS for ELLs® assessment. Each educator, designated as a "Student" in the D2L system, should study the content of the course and complete the quizzes which correspond with the section(s) of the test which he or she will be administering. The D2L site, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, is located at https://uwosh.courses.wisconsin.edu.
How can I enroll in the course?
Each state has specific policies or procedures for D2L registration. Many district facilitators have the responsibility of registering all new users, and will need a "WIDA Instructor" account in the same system to do so. In some states, test administrators register themselves in the D2L training course by using our Account Creator. To find out how enrollment is handled in your state, please click on your state name in the green menu in the lower left area of this page.
Where do I find what I need in the D2L site?
Once you have received an account, the following instructions will serve as a guide to logging in and finding the materials you need in the online training course:
