1. How do I gain access to view and/or download the W-APT™ screener materials?

2. What are my state's guidelines for use of the W-APT™ assessment? What else is covered in state policy?

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction has posted guidelines for use of the W-APT™. This document contains valuable information about how to download and use the test, what scores indicate eligibility for LEP support programs in NC, and other guidelines such as the use of test accommodations for students with special needs. It also outlines what scores on the W-APT™ qualify LEP students as candidates for the use of accommodations or alternate state academic assessments. Finally, it comprehensively outlines the roles and responsibilities of all those involved in the administration of this test.
