Who is allowed to become a certified W-APT or ACCESS for ELLs test administrator in VT?
ACCESS for ELLs test administrators in the state of Vermont must hold a Vermont teaching license with the English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement (a provisional license for ESL is also acceptable).

Am I required to take the training quizzes to become approved to administer the ACCESS test? |
Yes. All test administrators must retake the speaking portion of the training each year. First time test administrators must complete the training course and pass the quizzes with a score of 80 or above. |

Do I need to retake the training quizzes if I passed them last year? |
No, but review of the training course is strongly recommended. Retaking the speaking test portion is required as stated above. First time administrators must complete the entire training. |

Do I need to provide proof of a passing quiz grade (80%) from previous years? |
No |
The VT Dept. of Education maintains a list of individuals with passing quiz grades for each year. |

The WIDA Assessment Training Training Toolkit CD-ROM is available from the VT Department of Education. The powerpoint presentations and other resources on this CD are used for local ACCESS for ELLs® and/or W-APT™ Training, and are also available by logging in to this website with your personal training account. After you login, click on "Training Toolkit" in the left-hand navigation menu.
